the sweet, early lavender tommies
(those in the banner)
have completed their performance for this spring
and their cousins
C. tommasinianus 'Ruby Giant'
and C. sieberi 'Firefly'
are in puddles all about the garden.
these specie crocus seed themselves about
and multiply like little spring bunnies!
There are fewer snowdrops in the garden now
and at Greenwood, Louis Bauer, our Director of Horticulture
has planted a sweet little collection of bulbs acquired from
Hitch Lyman, America's chief galanthophile
tommasinianus
Very pretty, I like the second one especially, and a yellow tipped snowdrop, I've never seen one of those before!

Hello Vicki, I've just enjoyed spending some time catching up on your blog and as always, enjoying your beautiful photos. I like your new look too! No flowers for us yet as there is still quite a bit of snow. How nice I can visit you here and enjoy Spring :)

Even the snowdrops are closed up so tight against the wind and snow this week! I have a few brave crocus, but they look maimed and unhappy.
Yours look so sweet!
