Even tho my head and heart have been
delightfully occupied with sorting photographs from the island
i am also frequently mesmerized
and in the garden.
There is so much i want to show you.
i shall endeavor to catch up over the next few days.
It shouldn't
but it definitely does surprise me
to discover just how many times i've photograph
purple coneflowers.
Last evening
following the nerve jangling drama of crackling, thundering clouds
and pouring rain
it was so ... so...delicious
outside, in the still moist, but much cooler air.
The sky was finally blue again
and i could stop
take long, deep breaths
and spend my time.
i simply could not resist this green
or this crew cut
this little exclamation of joy
and a shiny fly
who seemed to be taking a breather
and not at all concerned with me
little fireworks had erupted overnight in all that heat
and sneaky weeds
had taken advantage
while some glow
others will take another night
to stretch
and thank the sky
Lovely pictures. The flowers do look as if gentle, soothing fireworks have erupted.
