it was such a surprise
a blessing on the air
all mine
early on a Sunday morning at Greenwood.

i'm late in sharing this

it was the very first flower to appear in these parts
no, it's not forsythia
it's flowers are smaller
intensely fragrant on the cold, early March air
Wintersweet, Chimonanthus praecox
