Last week i traveled west to the Rocky Mountains
to celebrate dear Jon's wedding to his Dawn.
i made sure i had time for a visit to the canyons.
It seems appropriate to post this one first
of Bridal Veil Falls.
i have chosen not to "Photoshop out" the humans who
have climbed to the midway point where the top portion of the falls
spill into a pool
thinking it would give a sense of scale
however, i'm not sure you can see them in this small version
even though one of them is wearing a red shirt.
sorry about the soft resolution. i'm not sure why but it seems that
an image this size is difficult to translate into this blogging format
but i couldn't resist posting this in honor of the occasion.
During one of our pre-wedding conversations
Jon pointed out that i've not been posting much lately
my apologies
and, yes
i have more to share from the west and
an accumulated pile from the garden, so
watch for more postings from this point on.
Very lovely, as are the trees in the next one (that virulent yellow!)
Colorado saved my childish little life in the three years I lived in Kansas long ago. We used to go to Colorado on long weekends, and once we spent the summer in Boulder.

Hi Marly, so nice to hear from you again here and in that older post. Thank you for your nice words about the images. These are the mountains that held me together for a significant number of years...and remain precious. I understand.

Wow, I love this! It's huge. I've never seen people climbing it, so I love how massive it is with the folks there for scale. Great pic.
