My granddad used to grow zinnias in the summer. Such happy flowers. They are not very fashionable here at the moment, but such a shame because their hot bright colours and drought hardiness makes them perfect for our summers. Definitely a smile worthy photo!

There's a tiny local one I like centered around a big yellow people-crossing sign, with a vine wrapped around it....

As for your note: well, that makes one!

Well, they certainly made up for not having any more garden ... this is so pretty. I never THINK about zinnias -- and I love them! Maybe next year!

Zinnias are drought tolerant aren't they? You've put an idea in my head:)
