There's a photographer in Cooperstown who snapped her shutter as a bolt hit right in front of her--the bolt looks huge and shows the internal structure (looks like rings) and has been much studied by people who study such things!

I like that first photograph--so suggestive of fountaining growth.

Z, such stunning images. The sky is my favorite place. And your story is so well told, too. Would have loved to have been there for the rain.
We also had rain and we needed it very much.
