With a name like backhouse--where I come from, that's an old name for outhouse--she probably wanted to be linked to as many flowers as possible!

Ha! Of course...backhouse=outhouse. I've always thought those Brits gave themselves very curious and questionable names!!

My favorite obit name was the name of an old mountain man in western North Carolina: Faery Laughter.

These photos are gorgeous as always Vicki. Love them. On the ... er... 'outhouse' theme... we call them 'dunnies' over here. The old timber versions that were found way down the back of old time gardens were called 'thunderboxes'. LOL. Now imagine being called Mrs. Thunderbox?!

"Thunder mug" I knew for chamber pot, but not "dunnies."

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dunnies and Mrs. Peabody took in a round of miniature golf. Yes, I think "Dunnies" would be a good name.

These are really beautiful. I especially love the pink one with the daisies surrounding it.

Lovely delicate things, tho' I like the big splashy ones too.
The privy conversation is a giggle!
