Oooh this is lovely - I always forget how textured daffos are - wonderful, pleated fluted things and such glaucous sappy stems. Seeing this in mono takes away the distraction of the colour and really shows off the extraordinary construction of these things.

Elaine's comments are so spot on. Without the colour you can appreciate the texture and shape. This is just GORGEOUS Z! Daffs have such a lovely subtle scent too. Shame we can't capture that with our art.

i always photograph my favorite things in bw...just to "see" what might be there. Sometimes i have an idea of what will come through, but almost always, just like you say, color, as fabulous and wonderful as it is, sometimes hides things
