it happens around the same time
most of the leaves have fallen from the trees
i get crafty
as in paper, scissors & glue.
i like making cards
and other stuff
and once it gets close to turkey day
i really get into it.
i'm currently working on a 3D
cut paper version
of the pencil sketch in the last post
and if i'm successful i'll post some results here.
but i've also made a fresh Christmas card
inspired by a conversation with my niece
just as those leaves fell.
she and i had been talking about my mom
and how my mom loved making things
with scissors and paper
(this leaf fell close to the tree)
and it reminded me that i have inherited
my mom's file of paper snowflakes.
my niece hinted
that she would love some examples.
i dug out the file and marched
straight to the scanner attached to
this magic box
(ok, it's called a computer)
and then proceeded to mess about
with the scanned results in photoshop.
here is one of them.
i've put 4 together in a small accordian card
with the story on the back...
so here's the deal:
if you would like one of my cards
send me your postal address
lilymartagon at yahoo dot com
and i will mail one to you
where ever you live.
and i'll do my best to pick pretty stamps
to put on the envelope, too.
and if you send cards this time of year
i'd like to get on your mailing list.
don't you just love
getting cards in the mail?
who cares if they arrive by Dec 25 or not?
January could do with a bit of fun.
