Oh, how did I miss this yummy entry??
At my home/home in Hawaii they grow Okinawan Sweet Potatoes...beautiful purple goodnesses. I have wanted to grow them here in Oregon, but cannot find them, and they may be a pest here if introduced...but how I miss them. Such a delicious salad and how talented you are to be able to produce that vimeo. Wow, I am lucky if my finger can hit the correct key.

Ellen, those sweet potatoes sound wonderful.
If you ever find them, perhaps you could grow them in a pot which could keep them from "invading" anything.

i found this, from Sand Hill Preservation Center--with purple sweet potato varieties:

Now i'm very eager to try these!
